Dear Members of the Nation and Readers of Midnight Voice,
The National Newsletter is pleased to be gearing up for the
5th straight edition since its re-vamping, last year. As with all
editions we need your help. We want to thank all who have submitted
thus far, and request for more submissions to come in. The topic will
be a total representation of the membership including the good, and
the bad as shared by our members.
The overall theme will be: Where have we come from and where are we
Going! Our video segment will cover Retention of members. They paid
the membership, then what?
Here is what we are looking for in terms of submissions:
A. OOC Segment: In addition to the normal submission categories:
(Submissions should be no more than 1.5 pages, 12 point font)
1. Please provide short stories of the path members took to achieve
the MC they are today? (Include any highlights, special thoughts,
themes that helped you, etc…)
2. Please provide short stories, anecdotes of what your MC means to you?
3. If someone inspired you within the club, let us give them some
recognition. We want stories of those who inspired, pushed, mentored,
taught you how to be the Larper that you are!
4. Pointers (can be bullets) that you may want to pass on to new
members, the things that could really make or break someone’s
experience of our club.
5. Do you have a special skill set (character creation, ST’ing,
Prestige earning, Recruitment, Coordinating, Community Service, etc..)
Please submit short stories or essays about this skill, and please
include pointers that would help another player develop the skill.
OOC- Mentorship is a big thing that benefits the old and the young of
the MES- The MC debate has been something of lore and legend-
B. We would like to hear from our veteran members who have taken the
bumps and bruises, and may have pointers for those still working their
way through the MC chain.
C. We want to hear from the younger members as well. We would like to
hear how those with higher MC’s can make the game and club experience
more enriching and inviting.
D. Special Tribute- This club is full of artists, singers, actors,
photographers (it is spring/summer what about some nature shots),
gamers, costumers, crafters, etc. The Newsletter wants the opportunity
to display the creativity of our members. We are accepting any and all
things in this category.
As always please be mindful that anything obscene or offensive will
not be published, and will not be accepted. Please remember the
National Newsletter staff has the final judgment on the
appropriateness of submissions. Our recommendation is unless they are
complete nudes, send them and we will let you know.
All who submit will be awarded National Prestige depending on that
which is submitted. Please send all submissions to
nat.newslettersubmission@gmail.com by June 4, 2012. In the subject
line please put the category of your submission and May 2012 for
proper credit
