Tomorrow, the physical server that houses the approvals database, CRD,
Ordeals system, the USNC site (including the prestige database), and a
few other systems will be taken offline by CCP IT. We have
infrastructure in place to bring those services back up in a new
location, but this is a rather complex process, as it will take more
than just copying files - we also have to replace the login system
entirely, as the old login system is another CCP-managed system that
will become unavailable to us. To make things more complicated, I get
on an airplane for SWRE tomorrow.
As a result, those systems will be shut down tonight to facilitate the
transfer, and while we hope to bring things back up tomorrow, and
we'll make every effort to at least get the approvals database back
online before the convention, we may not be able to complete the
process until after the weekend. That means you should take care of
any pending business in the approvals database ASAP, and make sure you
have copies of your character sheets and any approval numbers just in
case. While I do expect things to be back online in time for CAiNE,
backups are never a bad idea.
When they do come back online, you will need to have an account at the
new member portal, and a membership number, in order to log in. If you
haven't done that yet, you should! Everything you need is available
at:
portal.mindseyesociety.org/
Your best source of information on the status of those applications
will be our Facebook page, where I'll be posting daily status reports
until things are back to normal. For those who haven't seen that just
yet:

As an additional note, that means tech support responses will be slow
or nonexistent until Monday, after I get home from SWRE, and even then
will still come behind this transfer process in priority. I apologize
in advance for any inconvenience, and thank everyone again for their
patience and cooperation. You guys have been amazing while we brought
the new portal online, and I'm looking forward to more good stuff
happening with this transfer.
Thanks!
