I like to have a ongoing record. So I thought I would post this here.

I'm very, very pleased to announce that the very first stage of the
new member portal is now in beta release and available for use:
portal.mindseyesociety.org/
This is live data, though the system still has limited functionality.
New functions will be added over the coming weeks and months,
eventually replacing the CRD and approvals database entirely, though
that will take some time. In the meantime, we wanted to get this basic
functionality out as quickly as possible.
I encourage everyone to visit the site and create an account, as this
system will become the login for the approvals database and CRD in the
near future - probably in the next week or two. For US and
international members alike, if you have an existing membership number
in the CRD, you can claim that number in the new system. For US
members, you can also sign up for a free trial, purchase a new
membership, or renew your existing membership.
The next planned step, happening in only a week or two, is to use this
system as the login for the approvals database and CRD. As with any
major change, this may involve some difficulty, so I *strongly*
recommend that you take care of any urgent business in those systems
this week. This is especially true of those attending a convention in
March, like the Canadian National or the US Southwest Regional, who
will want to print their character sheets and make a note of any
approval numbers they need for the convention sooner rather than
later. We will, of course, do everything we can to make this as
painless a process as possible, but I know how important it is to have
your character sheets all sorted out, and I also know how unexpected
things will always happen.
(Yes, we would prefer to make this transition at a more convenient
time than right before a pair of conventions, but we're working on a
deadline, as the old login system and server will be unavailable to us
as of March 15, so we're making the best of the situation we have.)
Doubtless, you'll have more questions. Lots of them. You can send
those questions to me, or bring them up on the camarilla-general list
(or us-general for questions specific to the US, like those around
renewals), though you should first review our FAQ on the subject:
